The Beginning
Welcome to Asia Hyperbaric Centre, where our journey began in 1977 as Asia Divers Limited, focusing on marine engineering for the offshore industry. Our founder and CEO, Mr. Ricky Ng
(on the right), started with a vision for commercial diving that has since evolved into one of Hong Kong’s most successful marine service groups.
Our Roots
Our initial operations centered around seaside-installed chambers, serving the needs of the offshore marine industry. This unique setting in a shipyard environment was crucial for our work in marine repair, maintenance for the HK Government, commercial diving, and submarine cable and pipeline installations.
The Birth Of Asia Hyperbaric Centre
In the early 90s, during his Commercial Diving Course in the UK, Mr. Ng discovered the versatile healing potential of hyperbaric chambers, traditionally used for treating diver’s decompression sickness. This revelation led to the birth of Asia Hyperbaric Centre (AHC) a decade later.
Bridging Past and Present
Today, AHC combines our rich maritime heritage with cutting-edge medical technology. Our team of skilled professionals provides state-of-the-art hyperbaric treatments, ensuring the highest standards of safety and effectiveness.
The conversion of our hyperbaric chambers from marine to medical use, while maintaining our presence in the shipyard, preserves the authenticity of our origins. This unique setting serves as a testament to our journey, bridging the gap between our maritime roots and our current medical innovations. It reminds us daily of the powerful connection between the depths of the ocean and the heights of medical advancement.
