Off Label Conditions

What We Treat

These conditions, which can be referred to as “on-label”, are approved by the FDA and are generally covered by insurance. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is FDA approved for specific conditions, where it has shown effectiveness as a treatment option. It is important to note that while HBOT has shown benefits for these conditions, it should always be used under the guidance of a healthcare professional and in accredited facilities to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Neurological Conditions

HBOT is being explored for various brain and nervous system disorders, potentially offering neuroprotective effects and promoting neuroplasticity. Conditions in this category include traumatic brain injury, stroke, and neurodegenerative diseases.

Inflammatory Conditions

The anti-inflammatory properties of HBOT are being investigated for chronic inflammatory disorders. This category includes conditions like inflammatory bowel disease and rheumatoid arthritis, where HBOT might help reduce inflammation and promote healing.

Infections

Some practitioners are exploring HBOT as an adjunctive treatment for certain chronic infections. The increased oxygen levels may enhance the body's ability to fight infections and support the immune system.

Sports
Injuries

HBOT shows promise as a valuable tool in sports medicine, potentially enhancing recovery and performance for athletes. While more research is needed, current evidence suggests HBOT could play a significant role in comprehensive sports injury treatment.

Other Condition

This diverse category includes a range of conditions where HBOT's potential benefits are being studied. From autism spectrum disorders to sports injuries, researchers are investigating how increased oxygen delivery might positively impact various health issues.
